Day 1 Depart USA

Relax and rest on your flight from the USA.

Day 2 Arrive in Turkey

A motor coach will take us from the airport to our hotel where we will all enjoy a group dinner and night of unwinding from the trip.

Day 3 Istanbul / Kayseri

Istanbul / Kayseri

We will visit the bejeweled capital of Istanbul, which is home for 450 mosques. We will visit the famous Blue Mosque and see six minarets and their breathtaking interior before the tour heads to the Topkapi Palace, once home of the royal Sultans. We will walk through St. Sophia, the largest church of Christendom for 1,000 years. The church has 107 columns; fossil embedded white marble floors and the beautiful glass mosaics. The Grand Bazaar is home to many exotic spices as well as 4,000 shops.

Day 4 Cappadocia

Cappadocia

The flight to Cappadocia will take the group over the rock-cones and cliffs, and we will see the majestic rock formations, which create a fairy land landscape. We will see that there are over 3000 rock churches in existence in the region. We will see the Rock Chapels of Goreme, the Monastic Complex of Zelve, and the Cave Village of Avcialr.

Day 5 Antioch in Pisidia

The fifth day we will drive west to Antioch in Pisidia, which is the site of, the first recorded sermon of Paul in Acts 13:14-52. After that, you will visit the cascading limestone springs of picturesque Pamukkale, meaning “Cotton Castle”.

Day 6 Colossae/ Laodicca/ Hierapolis

Colossae/ Laodicca/ Hierapolis

The ruins of the famous city of Colossae give an interesting perspective on the receiver of Paul’s Letter to the Colossians, and the streets of ancient Hieropolis, that Paul mentions (Col. 4:13), that are still lined with columns, gates and arches. The city’s amphitheater is also perfectly in-tact, it has stood through time and earthquakes. Dinner and overnight in Pamukkale.

Day 7 Philadelphia/ Sardis/ Izmir

Philadelphia/ Sardis/ Izmir

We will visit Philadelphia, one of the Seven Churches of Revelation, as well as the remains of Byzantine basilica and ancient wall. Next we will see Sardis, another one of the Seven Churches of Revelation. We will explore the massive Temple of Artemis, gymnasium, synagogue and white marble Royal Road. Another of the Seven Churches of Revelation, Izmir, is the third largest city in modern Turkey; it also serves as a major center for both Jewish and Christian communities. This city, in Paul’s day, was known as Smyrna, here Paul encouraged Christians to remain faithful (Rev.2:8-11). The day ends with a trip to see ancient Roman statues at the Agora. Dinner and overnight in Izmir.

Day 8 Pergamum

We will see the amazing fabled 1000- foot Acropolis towers, which overlooks Pergamum. We will pass through the Royal Gates, to explore one of the great classic centers of Greek culture. We will visit the Temple of Zeus and Athena, and the ruins of the Library which once held 200,000 parchment volumes. Next we take a trip to visit the Temple of Trajan, the Grand Theatre, the Aesclepion, gymnasium and the trading center of Thyatira, (Rev. 1:11;2:18-29) the church was reprimanded for tolerating the false prophetess, Jezebel. Dinner and overnight in Izmir.

Day 9 Ephesus

This day centers around the ancient port city of Ephesus, one of the seven churches of Revelation (Rev.1-:11) which has been brilliantly excavated to see many of the major streets of the town and library. We will also see the Temple of Artemis, one of the “Seven Wonders of the World”. We will visit the Basilica of Saint John, the traditional site of his grave.

Day 10 Athens Acropolis

Athens Acropolis

Visit the Acropolis, Parthenon, Erechteum, and Propylea.

See Mars Hill where Paul preached as wellas viewing the Agora.

See the House of Parliament, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the Presidential Palace, Corinth canal, Archaeological Museum, the Bema, the Market Place, The Temples.

Day 11 Corinth

Corinth

A trip to the Archaeological Museum, Market Place and Temples begins in the City of Corinth, where Paul met Aquilla and Priscilla, the tent makers and received a vision from the Lord (Acts 18:10) We walk among the ruins, visit Bema, where Paul stood before Gallio before going to the Port of Cenchraeae.

Day 12 Return to USA
